Gem Mint In Box Stevens Thunderbird Set:
For the collectors who have just about everything, here's one of the rare sets, still sealed in the original package. Depending on who you ask and who you believe, there were between 24 and 100 of these sets made. I don't think this one has been out of the box. All parts and pieces are still attached to the background panel. Of all sets Stevens reissued, this was proably the finest one.

Cochise Set #7: On Hold
This Cochise set is in excellent condition, but not near mint. It has a few typical black and silver marks hear and there. The silver headband is missing a little paint. The reins look original to me. For this price, you get all original parts, including a silver pistol and rifle. .....
Excellent..................$220		 Matt Dillon Set :
This is a nice, clean set with all original parts. (not sure about the reins). The yellow on the shirt of the figure is a bit duller or darker than some I own, but still nice and even. The horse has a nice buttery buckskin color. No major rubs or flaws on the set. Hair paint under the hat is a bit thin but it is covered with the hat on his head. Correct saddle and hat. For this price, you get the original horse, saddle, figure, hat, and silver pistol.

Crockett Set 4:
Overall, very nice set. Figure has good color, but paint a little thin on knees, elbows and rump, bordering on full rubs. Nose is a tiny bit flatten, but professionally repainted (airbrushed) face and hair. Silver on powderhorn has a few small scratches and other slight paint loss. Horse has normal play scratches, but solid. Replacement reins.

For this price, you get an original horse, figure, saddle, longrifle, cap. Repro knife......$360

 Bowie Set 1:
This set displays very well. It has been handled some but it doesn't look like the original owner actually played with it. The silver is thin and rubbed some on the powderhorn and strap and there is a tiny amount of paint missing on the tip of the nose of the figure. The horse is in good shape, with a few microscratches and fine black marks on the stockings. Crimped reins. The saddle has three or four very fine "teeth marks" in the green. They almost look like they came that way as the paint covers all of them. For this price, the set will come with an original figure, horse, saddle, hat, and rifle, with a repro Cheyenne style long knife.

Very nice set. The figure is in about average played with condition, with a few rubs on the high spots. Thin paint on the nose, otherwise solid figure. Horse is solid, with off white stockings and blaze. Original reins with crimp. Small play marks and scratches. One silver nick on front shoulder of horse.

General Lee Set 1:
General Lee is in pretty good shape, with a few small black marks here and there. The tops of the gold buttons are rubbed. The horse is off white, but very solid and clean. Minor scratches and marks. Original knotted reins. The saddle, hat, and sword are in fine shape and unrepaired or repainted. For this price you will get the original figure, horse, saddle, hat, and sword, plus a repro flag with bamboo post.
Good/Excellent............$150		 General Lee Set 2:
This Lee set has an off white to light cream colored horse with the wavy tail. Reins may have been replaced. There is a little reddish staining where the tail was glued onto the horse. The entire set has the normal black marks and light scratches. The gold trim is mostly rubbed on the figure's buttons and hat emblem. The figure has a nose rub. The saddle is in fine shape with gwo good stirrups. For this price, you get the original horse, figure, hat, and saddle.

 George Washington Set 1:
This is a set with a very yellowed horse, but in good solid shape. It might make a good customized horse. The figure has quite a few marks and fine scratches and needs some cleaning. The hat and saddle are in good shape.

Jockey Set 1:
This is a beautiful, bright set. White plastic is slightly off white. One small nick of red paint on back of left elbow. Horse has good color, solid tail, crisp ear tips, and very few play scratches. Not sure about reins, but look old. For this price, you get the original figure, horse, and riding saddle. Repro Crop...$225		 Jockey Set 2:
Other than the few light scratches in the surface of the horse, this set has few other flaws. The white on the figure's pants is bright white, but not yellowed at all. Everything is bright and solid including the tail. Ear tips are nice and pointed. Crimped original reins. For this price, you get the original figure, horse, and saddle blanket, plus a repro crop.

Tonto Set 1:
I don't think this set has had much play time. It is not perfect, but hasn't been abused at all. The paint is a little thin on the tips of the toes, tip of the nose, and some of the silver banding is thin or rubbed over the fringe. Some of the silver is missing on the headband, mostly the front. The horse is slightly off white, and has a few very minor micro scratches and marks. Original crimped reins. The saddle fits nicely. For this price, you get the original figure, horse and saddle, plus a repro feather, knife, and silver pistol.
Excellent.......................$200		 Roy Rogers Set 2:
This is a premium set with very few issues to even comment on here. The white plastic on the horse and hat is a tad off white. The tip of the left ear on the horse has a tiny bend at the end. There is a very tiny mark or scratch on the left neck of the horse. Crimped reins. The figure is clean, bright and solid. No major imperfections at all.

For this price, you will get an all original set, including the horse, figure, hat, saddle, and two silver pistols.

 Dale Evans Set 4:
This is a very strong set with few problems to define. As with almost all Dale sets, there is some staining on the barrel of the horse under the saddle. Additionally, there is a small seam split behind the saddle on the top of the rump. It runs roughly 3/4" and opened up at about the space of a pin. The figure is great, with the only flaw I can find on the tip of the nose. There is a very tiny speck of paint missing.

For this price, you will get an all original set, including the horse, figure, hat, saddle, and one silver pistol.

Evans Set 1:
Very clean, solid set. It has a few very small marks that should clean off easily..Horse has a few scuffs, but not deep. Good, deep brown paint on accents. Full ear tips. Replacement reins. C-8 across the board. Includes original horse, figure, hat, saddle and silver pistol. Certainly an above average set........$260		 Evans Set 2:
This set displays very well.The horse and hat have darkened to a light creme color but otherwise are in very nice shape. The figure has a few very fine marks of black and silver, normal for a piece that has been carefully handled but not played with. A few of the silver dots on the saddle have rubbed off, not bad. Seth Adams Set 1:
Not many flaws on this set to try to describe. It is a solid, bright set. Two of the buttons on the vest are rubbed, with a few random, very tiny black marks on the back of the vest. Comes with the correct horse, regular black saddle, figure, and black hat. One repro brown pistol and whip. Judging by the dust on the set, it appears I used this one on my display shelf at one time...............
Excellent....$275		 Seth Adams Set 2 :
Another very clean set with minimal scratches, marks and rubs. The slender tailed horse has a small blemish on the left shoulder. It looks like the remnants of some scotch tape from a long time ago. The figure has two very small black dots on the right leg that appears to be a factory defect from removing the paint mask. It is minimal, but worth noting. Colors nice, bright and glossy. For this price, you get the correct horse, figure hat, and regular black saddle. It also includes a repro brown pistol, whip, and short Winchester rifle....
Excellent.................$250		 Seth Adams Set 3:
This is almost an identical twin to Set #1. Very few microscratches and fine black marks. No big rubs anywhere. on either set. The fine marks should come off easily.

For this price, you get the correct horse, regular black saddle, figure, and black hat. One repro brown pistol and whip.

Paladin Set 2:
Another very nice Paladin set. The white horse is a bit off white and it has a few black marks. The back left leg has a small rub on the stockings. Figure and saddle are in very, very nice shape. No rubs, but a couple of random silver marks that normally come off easily. ..........Rate 8......$300

If you want an original rifle for this set, I can supply one of either the Bond style or the Jeffords style for $80. Repros are $15

Paladin Set 3: SOLD:
Another set out of my personal collection. Great color all around. Minimal play scratches and no noticable rubs. Original horse, rifle holed saddle, hat, figure and brown pistol. Rate 9....$325

Paladin Set 4:
Not much difference in this set and the other three. Good colors on both horse and figure. A few of the raised dots on the saddle are rubbed but that is about all to describe. Many rifle holed saddles were molded in black plastic. This one is white, painted black on the top surface. For this price, you get the origninal horse, figure, saddle, hat, and brown pistol.
Excellent.................$300		 Paladin Set 5:
The horse on this set is off white with a few normal black marks and scratches. The figure has good color and gloss, but does have a rub on the nose. Otherwise, the set is in very good shape. For this price, you get the original horse, figure, saddle and hat plus one repro brown pistol.

This paladin set is well above average. The figure is almost perfect, along with the had and saddle. The horse is off white, with a full wavy tail. Crimped original reins. MINT 1988 Stevens Thunderbird Set:
It took me a long time to finally land a mint version of this set. The outer box is in good shape, but not perfect. This set has never been out of the box. Stevens Plastics produced this set for a short period of time in 1988. ...........$400

I created this set from a Chief Thunderbird figure and Crockett cap. It come complet with special colored weapons and a shield with three feathers. The spear is customized, too. The set comes with a ring-eyed pinto and red blanket............$400
 
Buffalo Bill Set 1: 020808 SOLD:LA
A very nice set with all original parts. Bright colors with plenty of gloss. The horse is the variety with brown paint over white with almost no imperfections. (Slight rub on the back rear knee and dot of paint missing on the bridle). Original crimped reins. The figure has a couple of rubs on the fintertips, knuckle and boot tips. The saddle is in great shape with only a tiny bit of thin paint on the US Mail Lettering. Visible white plastic is off white. Two original silver pistols.

Maverick Horse and Rider Set 1: 020808
This set comes out of my display case and is in Excellent or better shape. The reins are tied, so I am not 100% sure if it is original. Otherwise, it comes with all origianal parts and accessories including the hat and one brown pistol.

There is a tiny dot of paint missing on the tip of the figure's nose, but it is not flattened. Minimal rubs and marks, but not mint. Rifle-holed saddle is in great shape, but has some thin silver paint on the left side.

Unless you are a MINT or Gem Mint collector, you will love this one.

Annie Oakley Set 1:020808
This Oakley set is in very nice shape. Exposed white plastic is off white but not yellowed. Oakley's pink is thin, mostly on the left side. She has a few light scratches. I hadn't noticed it until today's inspection, but it appears her right hand had been repaired somewhere along the line.

Original white hat, but missing string. Saddle has a few rubs on the silver dots, but has good color otherwise. The horse is beautiful overall with original reins, but it has a small melt mark on the left flank. Repro silver pistol.

I may part this set out later, but for now I will price it as a set.

Annie Oakley Set 2: 020808
This set displays great! The figure has a few black marks that need to be cleaned off, but the paint looks rich and thick. Exposed plastic is off white but not yellowed. Palomino color on the horse is very nice and deep. Tied reins, but I am pretty sure they are original. Same for the drawstring. No major rubs or scratches. There is a small spot of either glue or a melt mark on the back side of Annie's right arm. It looks like it has been there a long time and I did not try to remove it. Comes with an original silver pistol.

Josh Randall Set:
It is hard to find many flaws on this set. There are some micro-scratches on the surface of the paint of the black horse with a tiny bit of brown showing on one flank if you are really up close and picky. Some of the silver is rubbed on the saddle. Figure looks great! There is a tiny indention above his right eye, but very small and covered by his hat. This set will come with a repro Mare's Laig gun. I think the reins are original, but they are tied, so I can't be 100% certain. Original hat. This set comes out of my display case.

Red & White / Blk Champ Set 1: 020808
A very nice set! The set is photographed without reins, but it will have a replacement set of chain reins. The horse is nice and glossy with few flaws. It has a few small black marks on the stockings and minimal silver rubs on the tack. The red saddle fits the horse like a glove, with a few high dots rubbed. The figure is very clean and bright. It has a tiny scratch across the bridge of the nose, seen only if inspecting at a few inches away. Minimal rubs on the knuckles. Silver trim intact.

Blue-Brown / Brown Pinto Champ Set:
I will photograph this set again next time I get set up. The figure for this set will be a brown and blue version and not the red and white version. This rare horse has off white to light cream plastic in the exposed areas, but it in very good shape otherwise. The tips of the ears are pointed, but have a slightly rough feel to them. There is a spot of clear varnish or glue on the right flank and only a couple of stray marks otherwise. The figure has the normal olive/brown color cast. This shirt and face is slightly darker than those of the red and white figures. One small rub on the butt. Nice yellow scarf and almost all silver trim intact. Original reins and hat. The set will ship with two repro silver Champ pistols.

Red & White / Black Champ Set:
This set might be a little jumbled up. The horse is solid black with brown tack, usually paired with O'Rourke. The saddle is the brown version with dashes and the figures is a red and white version. I've had it stored this way for a long time. The orse is in really great shape. There are a few rubbed dashes on teh saddle. Original chain reins. Original white hat. The red is solide and nice. A tiny bit of silver missing on the trim of the figure. The scarf is painted white (I think it is factory original). The white chaps are bright white. The set will ship with two repro silver Champ pistols.

Red & White Champ Set #1: 020808 SOLD
Overall, this is a nice set, but it has a few flaws. The exposed white plastic is off white to light cream. The horse has good ear tips, but with some paint rubbed off the tips. It also has the normal small marks and light play scratches. The saddle is the version with the wide dashes, vs dots. Some of the silver is rubbed off the high spots. The hat is correct, but has a small surface scratch on one side. The figure is in better shape with only a couple of rubs on the knuckle of his left hand. There are a few red and black marks on the chaps and one small one on his cheek. Most of that comes off, but I will let you do it. The set will come with a repro chain rein and two repro silver Champ style pistols.

VG - 7................................$140
Red & White Champ Set #2: 020808
This Champ set will come with two repro silver Champ pistols, but otherwise, it will be complete and original. The color is good on all pieces. The saddle still has most of the silver on the raisded dots. The dots on the horse's tack is rubbed off on most places. Black paint is rubbed some on the ear tips and hooves, with some normal marks and light scratches. On close inspection, I think I probably touched up the red shirt and face/hair, but it looks very good. Exposed white plastic is off white, but not yellowed.

Red & White Champ Set #3: 020808 SOLD
Of the three red and white champ sets I am offering with the black and white pintos, this one is in the best shape. The pinto Champ horses are always harder to find than the other solid color horses. This one is in very good shape with only a couple of stray red or black marks in the white paint. The silver dots are still on the horse and almost all dots on the red saddle. Original chain reins and hat. Exposed plastic off white. The figure has a dot of black on the forehead and a very tiny one on the tip of his nose. Not rubbed. Light rub on the hair under his hat. Silver detailing intact on the figure. The set will ship with two repro Champ style pistols.
